Surface display can expose foreign antigenic protein on the surface of the vaccine vector, which is promising choice to elicit better immune responses. In this study, we apply this strategy to develop an immunoactivator by using a live attenuated Vibrio harveyi as an antigenic protein carrier with surface displayed VP28, a major envelope protein of white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), for two major pathogens of Litopenaeus vannamei.
